A breakdown at Blackberry disrupts for days the social life of younger people and in the business world it becomes clear how dependent we are on our electronic agendas and our mobile contact through ping, text message and e-mail. Because of this our agendas are more than full, multi tasking is hot and we race from one appointment to another. Our 24/7 economy demands continuous access and availability. On Facebook we have 3.718 friends, we are looking for partners by means of speed dating and internet dating and we tick off our to do list in a superficial way. All pushes life into a higher gear. We are so obsessed with our destination and the result that we don't know anymore how to enjoy the way to reach this. Carl Honoré calls this 'being stuck in fast forward' in his book In Praise of Slow. Our society has become fleeting and we do want all at the same time as in having a career, children, sport, time with friends and several holidays each year. The boundary between work and our private life has faded and we seem to have lost control of our life. More and more people feel the burden of a hurried life: stress, sleeplessness and obesity. Do you recognise this?

How do you live your life?

What is your life story and would like it different?

A participant in a workshop reflected in the following way. "Jan de Hoon is a person who has trodden off the beaten track in many ways and uses this experience in his work and contact. He has the looks of a young creative artist and he seeks solutions often 'out of the box'. The message he gives to people points to a deeper wisdom from within. All he does in a respectful manner on a personal and business level. An exceptional combination."
